At certain times of the year, the Falls Trail, located in the park, can be spectacular. In the winter, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing are available. There are also an additional 83,000 acres of state game lands, which lie to the west and north of Ricketts Glen State Park.

A stable nearby offers horse rides to the headwaters of Fishing Creek and for those that like to golf, Mill Race Golf Course is only 3 miles from the Bed & Breakfast.
